Corporate & Family Days

Sailing on a historic vessel, ‘Our Lizzie’, from Portsmouth is an unparalleled experience for corporate charters & family days out.

Details

Onboard, you’ll find a perfect blend of elegance and tradition, immersing you in comfortable sailing and a sense of being part of maritime history. This is an adventure your clients will cherish long after the day ends.

The camaraderie of sailing together, whether engaging in the sailing activities or simply appreciating the grace and movement of this 34-ton maritime marvel, creates lasting memories. Our Lizzie is equipped to accommodate up to 9 guests, with the skipper and host. Guests can actively participate in sailing, try their hand at steering, or simply enjoy their time onboard.

For staff outings and team building, we encourage involvement in sailing through healthy and enjoyable competitions. Our Lizzie’s traditional rigging, with one line assigned to one task, with plenty of lines to play with, makes sailing her surprisingly easy once you give it a try – go on, give it a try!

Itinerary

Meet at 9.00am on Our Lizzie at Royal Clarence Marina on the day.

The skipper’s briefing is accompanied by hot drinks, bacon rolls and pastries.

Once everyone is comfortable, we leave for the Solent and set our sails; preferably all 6 of them.

We can organise a stop for lunch, or we provide lunch aboard (try our Irish Stew).

After lunch, we have a leisurely sail back for about 4pm. After you have enjoyed some wine, beer and a snack, your guests can leave for home… or you can extend your day at one of the many restaurants or bars at Gunwharf Quays.

What to bring for a day out

  • Warm clothing – the breeze at sea can make the temperature feel much cooler than on land, even in the summer.
  • Deck shoes or if you don’t have them, trainers or soft shoes are fine. Please do not bring shoes with soft black rubber soles.
  • A waterproof jacket. Great for keeping out the wind as well as any rain. If you have any sailing waterproofs and sea boots of course bring them.
  • Suntan lotion.
  • Seasickness tablets if you feel you might need them.

If you have any questions about what to bring, just call or contact us.
